Default How to buy a good job.

Jobs?!? YIKES. First an announcement.

We've added a limited number of done with you fast start publishing programs to our SowPub Value Added course on Small Reports.

http://www.writerstollbooth.com/jb/

These are offered for 1495 dollars and include a 30 day fast start program...at the end of 30 days you'll have a website, a product to sell, a front end capture page, an auto-responder series and more. Contact me for details, [email protected]

Now for buying a job.

For the last 15 years, I'll guess that 80% of our members were more interested in opportunity, in Entrepreneurship, than in working for someone else.

But my research has revealed a hot trend, men 35 to 55, who have been on the job 5 years or more are seeking an escape from their rat race. Even if they like the job, they don't like their bosses.

These guys are doing ok, making a living, maybe raising a family and now they have hit the wall.

They are looking for 3 things

1) Getting out from under their boss' thumb.
2) More money.
3) More time with family.

And with our economy being a teeter-totter or atwitter, there is confusion when seeking legitimate opportunity.

There is a tested and proven way to BUY a new job, and the OLD franchise formula, which is:

Your initial investment represents your yearly income (so, if you want to make 100k a year, you must invest 100k, sort of thinking)

doesn't hold up today...mainly due to the cheaper costs of Internet advertising and promotion.

So a simple 12k investment today, could lead to a 100k per year income...for the doer, the hustler, the go-getter.

And we are seeing great herds of the discontent roaming the vast fields of franchises and biz-ops.

Which is an opportunity for you if you have something for these guys to graze on, be it a simple work from home business, like cleaning headlights, and driving an Uber car... all the way to investing in a franchise like ACE Hardware.

The problem for many of these guys is they end up with a worse boss than they had at their old job, now they have a real slave driver always under pressure to make the money.

And the reason for this is they have picked the business which doesn't suit their aptitudes, or their attitudes and or desires and find themselves stuck back in the rat race.

They made the proverbial jump from the frying pan into the fire.

It is the same when trying to buy your way into INTERNET MARKETING. You can bear witness to this everyday at the Warrior Forum, where people spend money trying to buy a solution which does not fit them.

IF one size fit all, then they would only have to invest in the ONE WSO, perhaps the longest running one, or one with the most testimonials.

Alas, it doesn't work like that,

BECAUSE

There is NO foundation for either the Franchise/Biz-Op or the Internet Marketer wannabee, to build on. They lack basic business knowledge and experience.

They don't know about cash flow, overhead, time and bookkeeping. And all too often they build sand castles on someone else beach.

But there is a way to buy a decent job, and there is a way to buy into the Internet...

...to be continued.

Gordon Jay

Hi Gordon,

This reminds me of a conversation I had a few days ago...

A friend of mine is supporting his daughters to study overseas. But they are having trouble...

He's wondering what to do...

What should they study? What skills do you need in life?

He's very concerned about his daughters.

So I told him my philosophy... My philosophy that has done well for me over the last 20 years...

At some point, I thought about jungle survival skills.

What if you're lost in the jungle. How will you survive?

You may think of Bear Grylls... or Les Stroud ("Survivorman"), for those who know of him...

How do you make a fire? How do you find food? How do you stop yourself from becoming food for something else?!?!!

Well, it's the same in the "urban jungle"...

Urban jungle survival skills! That's what you need...!

I've been honing and increasing my "urban survival skills" - starting in 1995, 21 years ago...

For me, that (mostly) means various business skills...

Some of the skills I've honed for myself are things like... sales skills. Copywriting skills. Negotiating and deal-making skills. General writing skills. Chatteling skills. I've recently added importing and exporting skills. Also on how to build your contacts. I'm working on my raising capital skills (to do finance work, for some opportunities I have on my plate)...

Well, you also need "urban survival skills"... And so do those you know. The ones you love. They need them too.

Why? You may not be around forever to support them. When you're gone... Your loved ones will also need urban survival skills, too!

The more survival skills you have - the better off you'll be! Plus, you can teach them to others, too... And help them as well.

That's one thing that Gordon is offering... Increase your "urban survival skills"... You'll never regret it!

I've never regretted it for a second! And, nowadays, I'm reaping the benefits... (I'm currently in Holland, on a fun "halfway around the world" trip...)

Why don't you reap the benefits, too?

Best wishes,

Dien

Thanks Dien,

My daughter took a "Semester at Sea", a cruise ship took her around the world with several hundred students from all over. Before this, she was an exchange student and spent 10 months in Brazil.

Brazil was hard because of the language problem, she didn't heed my advice and study before she went, so she struggled for months (thank goodness she had already graduated HS up here so the classes didn't matter).

Once she had command of the language, she flourished and today speaks Spanish and Portuguese with a smattering of other languages.

I think being able to first COMMUNICATE effectively and second, INFLUENCE via your communication is THE business survival skill.

Hi Gordon,

Your daughter's "Semester at Sea" experience sounds pretty awesome!

And "jumping in" to studying 10 months in Brazil, without speaking Portuguese... Definitely a "sink or swim" type of approach! But I bet she learned (and grew) a lot...

You're right in that communication is very very important...

And not just being able to string a few words together. Anyone who can talk can do that...

But so many people just don't know how to string a few words together to influence others...

Words are the key!

Best wishes,

Dien

Dien,

You say words are the key. I think thoughts are the key. Words only illuminate the thoughts. And, without thoughts there are NO words or actions. Hence, when you speak aren't you communicating your thoughts?

Just my 2¢...

I agree with you, when in remote situations.
I agree with sandalwood, when face to face.

Ever seen road rage? It only takes a look to have it escalate.

How many cops pull the trigger, because it looked threatening, when no real evidence of a serious threat existed?

We daily make decisions by our perceptions of our world, without uttering or hearing a word. Non verbal communication is certainly a skill which can be honed.

With words, they have to carry the thought to the other person, and be received. Too often our intent is misinterpreted, misconstrued or simply misses the mark.

Words must resonate, with the target at the right time, when optimal receptivity opens the doors.

It is a skill which is also polished through study and use.

Awareness and use of both, at the appropriate time enhances ones position in many situations. Being able to communicate and influence is a power tool in the business tool box.
