![]() For the last two months, I've asked if anyone wanted a "mentor" and I use the word with care. I did have a lot of people asking for either some guidance or help.
Here is the first ASSIGNMENT given to everyone of them. (And this was asked during April/May 2016). What does a day in June, 2017 (approx. year) look like? How much money are you making, or how much do you expect to make for the year after that? HOW do you plan to do it? Simple question, around these parts, we call that the View from the Rooftop, thanks to Harvey Brody. As a map maker, I call it the destination, or next leg of the journey. When you go to a rooftop, you can see things all around you, get a better feel for the terrain than the view from the ground. We know the map is not the territory, an example: 85 Houston St. Asheville, NC where I stayed to downtown Asheville is only 3/5 of a mile as the crow flies, but, it is all uphill, and what would take me 15 minutes to walk on flat ground, took almost 45 trudging up the hill. See, when you plan, and make a map, it may look like a short distance, and easy shot...until you get into the territory and encounter the bears along the way (one of my current guys, has a bear problem in his back yard, literally). But I knew as long as I kept trudging up the hill I'd get to the downtown eventually. So, let me ask you, what does one year from NOW look like for you? What will you be doing, where and how much money will you be making or expect to make and HOW? Also, this is just one of the Five Paths I cover, from here (financial goal), I use the Square One Workshops to include all the lanes of your highway: Financial Physical Relationships Mental Spiritual It is a holistic approach which helps us to avoid the quagmire of money, which can be quicksand as much as it can be easy street. .j Last edited by GordonJ : May 19, 2016 at 10:24 AM. |
