![]() I was stationed on Ford Island, Pearl Harbor for two years. I've stood on the Arizona Memorial many times, it is a solemn experience
There are a handful of survivors left, in their 90s. We will never forget. Dec. 7. 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Take a moment today to reflect on that, and consider the greatest generation who insured Americans we wouldn't have to speak Japanese or German. Gordon Jay Alexander |

![]() My next door neighbor, Mr. Fouts, was a gunner on a ship. He along with a crew, manned a 20mm cannon...for some reason they did not issue ear protection...and get this...while he was pulling the trigger blasting away with the 20mm, right above his head was a 40mm cannon blasting away at the enemy. Major sacrifices these men and women made. Part of the reason why I get a little angry at this NEW generation coming up. The concept of sacrifice...giving in order to get...has been lost. I hope that we all come together and truly make things better for everyone. It would be the worst thing ever to see all that The Great Generation did go to hell and hand basket.
