![]() Ok SowPubbers, I'm swallowing my pride and asking for help. My wife just came back from California (she was there to help her sister and lay the foundation for us to move there...didn't work so we are staying in Indiana for now) and while she was there she was dong some Craigslist hunting for some "chattel" to flip. She found some books. All collectible. All SIGNED First Editions. Mystery books mostly with some cookbooks. We've already sold about $1000 worth on ebay. The books didn't cost us anything to acquire except time and labor to get them. So not exactly free, but close. Now we are having them all sent back here to Indiana so we can continue to sell them on ebay. The question I'm hoping to get some ideas on is this....Does anyone have a suggestion on how to unload them in mass instead of onesy twosy? And, still get the value that they are worth? Or at least close to it. I'm thinking this...a JV of some kind?...maybe with a book list owner?....an auction house that specializes in collectible books?....also thought about taking boxes at a time to Half Price Books retail store uptown, they buy books of all types all the time...I'm also looking into "book clubs"?...If anyone has a good idea I would love to hear it. Thanks.

![]() Don't go to Half Price books, they pay pennies for books, no matter what they are worth.

![]() Hi,
First Step is to make a list of your book titles. So you KNOW what you have. Glenn Then you can Figure out their value based on what other people are getting for signed 1st editions. As usual. 1% of the books will be 100 TIMES more valuable than the rest. LOOK for those. |
