Just catching up with the board. I posted a while back on this board about a biography of Hill - "A Lifetime of Riches". It was pretty interesting and there many lines to read between contained therein. However the section on the actual publication of Think and Grow Rich had many lessons on personal relationships - specifically those of the immediate family. I found it interesting that Hill often lived in a city while his first wife and children were living with her parents. Was that a common scenario in that time period? I've read the same about Billy Sunday. Another interesting lesson. Reading the reviews on Amazon shows the reaction of some of the "followers" when the "guru" is revealed to be human. Something we still see today. Where does Robert Collier fit into the whole Think and Grow Rich phenomenon? Secret of the Ages was about the same time period. Thanks for your thoughts here. -- Dan Butler The Naked PC Make your computer fun again... |
