Default Looking for article distribution services. (Like Darlene used to provide)

Hi!

Poking my head out of the woodwork for about a minute to say a quick hello... (it's been a while)

Do you know anyone that provides article distribution? If any of you knew Darlene Bishop... like the services she used to provide.

I'm not looking for "places" to promote articles. I have tons of those. What I don't have is time.

It's amazing what a paragraph in the New York Times can do for a business. Sheesh. I'm so busy I can barely keep up. (I'm not complaining!)

Anyway, I am looking for someone to provide article distribution for my clients.

If you know anyone that provides article distribution.... or if you provide it... or if you know someone that sucks at it (and I shouldn't use their services) I'd sure appreciate any feedback and/or advice.

Feel welcome to either post... or email.

Thanks!
Linda Caroll

Linda:

Gary Christensen runs a very good article ditribution service for writers of money-making/marketing articles. Dr. Kevin Nunley is just one of his frequent authors.

Contact Gary at [email protected] for his prices and list of publications that get his monthly mailings.

Long time! I haven't talked to you for ages. Hope life is being good to you.

Subject? You name it. Being a site developer, my clients are in every trade under the sun. One sells porcelain collector dolls. Another sells fantastic jewelry including the neat spider pin that Ally McBeal was seen wearing. (Lordy, I think it was Ally that wore it...) Another is a minister who performs beautiful, unique wedding ceremonies. Another sells aromatherapy products. Yet another sells scented candles. And another is a cruise agent. Another sells Hawaiian coffee. I have so many clients, I'd lose track trying to list what they all "do" and sell.

And... I do know that there are ezines and publications out there for every category under the sun. I know that my clients are professionals, many of them with brick and mortar businesses to go along with their website. I know that contributing articles to relevant publications is a good form of exposure.

But... I also know that a lot of article distribution services seem to think that "marketing articles" is the only kind of article there is. Some go so far as to include "website design" articles or other articles with a definite marketing angle.

Thing is, the vast numbers of people on the net don't *ALL* want to read marketing articles. We humans have so many other interests... and there are publications geared to those interests.

Finding someone that knows about other publications (besides marketing ones) and distributing articles to them seems to be a daunting task at best.

I hope that helps explain what I'm looking for just a little better. : )

Thanks, Merle!

Cheers!
Linda

The following web page has some links which
might be helpful to your clients..

If you have time Linda could you tell me if
you see a need for an ebook or hard copy offline
directory of all the ezines for different
subject areas and the email addresses for
article submission?....or

Are you finding your clients need independent
contractors or online agents to submit their
articles?

Actually, there is a really good one out there.
It's not an ebook, but an online database that people can purchase memberships to. It's Ruth Townsend's directory at LifestylesPub.com

By having it online as opposed to an ebook, she can keep the information current and new ezines are added daily.

Ruth is a fantastic woman and her database is pretty extensive. Much, much more than just
"marketing" ezines.

I actually bought a membership with the thought that I could find ezines related to my clients' businesses and promote their articles for them.... but discovered that I just don't have the time.

> Are you finding your clients need
> independent contractors or online agents to submit their articles?

In essence, *I* need someone I can work with to distribute my client's articles. So that if I build a "doll" site and write/edit a related article, I can turn the article over to another person for distribution.

And the next day or week, I might finish an aromatherapy site - and write/edit related articles... and can turn those articles over to that person for distribution, too. Etc.

I'm looking for a one-stop shop. One person that I can work with to promote articles for my clients based on their site content to related publications.

I have a lot of clients... and I know exactly how I want the articles distributed (in most cases, even "where")... but I just don't have the time to do it all myself.

Heck, there's even a business opportunity here for anyone that wants some work at home income and isn't afraid to learn the how and where of publicizing articles effectively instead of pumping out marketing junk.

I have the know-how... and I get darn good results - I just don't have the time. I'm even willing to teach the know-how to anyone that wants to work together for mutual benefit. : )

Hope that answers your questions.

Thanks!
Linda

Default Here's Why I Asked....

Hi Linda,

The reason I asked is that I have a small database of editors I send my articles to on a regular basis that I do very well with. I have about 130 email addresses in there and get a lot of press for myself. If you ever have articles on website marketing/ promotion/design/ online business practices or even home business general stuff I could submit them to my database for you. I have a friend named Donna(http://www.Parentpreneurclub.com) who writes articles geared towards the home entrepreneur and they have re-published her work a few times as well.

Actually, I've been collecting data to start my own article submission service down the road for many different categories but for now if you're interested in the above please let me know.
