![]() Anyhow,
For noobs: the question oriented person way to IM success. What will you be selling? ________ or DON'T KNOW. Who will be your buyer? Of course if your answer above was don't know, so is the answer here. _____________ (buyer) or DON'T KNOW. So, we see so many would be Internet Marketers start with not knowing what they want, or why they want it...my old friendly question. Most will tell you they just want to MAKE MONEY online, but don't know how or what or to whom. If you don't know the what, to whom, where and how of it all. Then start with $$$$ or amounts...How much per month do you desire to make and why, what will that amount do for you. If after a series of clicks on DON'T KNOW, then I would ask...what have you bought in the last 6 months? Go over your bank acct, your spending and see where your money goes, chances are, there is a market or niche hiding out in your own expenditures. Well, I tired myself out already, no wonder the mind map never got done...I think those that want to do it will find a way...and most others will find their excuses. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gordon |

![]() Hi Gordon,
One thing I like about this is that even "Don't Know" can be useful... Because KNOWING that you "Don't Know" is more useful, than not even knowing that! I personally like the idea you should focus on something you have some passion for... Because that will help to motivate you to put the work in! I once bought the exclusive rights to some audiobooks... These audiobooks are in an area (not about business) in which I have some interest, but not really passion... Years later, I still haven't done anything with it. If I had more "passion" in that area, I think that would be a different story... (I've learned the lesson!) However, it has to be an area where you have some passion, and there's also commercial viability too! There has to be an existing "market" who would be interested in it... Again, I've had people wanting to interest me in helping to promote a product (some exotic "teas" that few would have heard of)... But, while the product was good, I could see that marketing it would require a lot of "Education" of the market... Because most people would never have heard of it, and the existing market was too small... Educating the market can be expensive, and not guaranteed to work! But... now that I think about it further... this is an area where "free publicity" could do well... Hmm... ![]() Just some thoughts... ![]() Dien Quote:

![]() As you well know, I am a Question Oriented Person...and some would say my first interview is more like an inquisition...asking a lot of questions about hobbies, interests, TIME and how much money.
I have a pretty high mutual rejection rate, where they don't want to continue, or I don't. I'd say about 65% go somewhere else, which works out fine for both of us. And my plan has been well documented here for the last 23 years...I like the "HOTSHEET", or mini-report as proof of concept, an expansion and price increase, a sorting of buyers, a bigger deal or a family of products. But that works for me, a lazy-butt, do the minimum, make the maximum and sit at the park and ask the squirrels what the meaning of life is all about. A more ambitious sort would build more and more upon their foundations. Starting in ignorance is OK, as long as one is willing to be educated. Starting with NO money is fine too, as long as one is willing to work. It is the starting, stopping, and making poor choices which I have the most problems with. But everyone gets to do their thing their way, I really think a lot of people enjoy their underachieving and their round tuits. Give me someone who is not afraid of answering questions, so as to get clarity on the goal, and then we can make a map to get there. What do you advise? Gordon Quote:

Promote exotic teas. Well, you can assist, which is a waste of time, in my opinion and spread yourself even thinner. Or if they will offer an EXCLUSIVE, a TOLL position, where you can control it...that may be something different. OR. There may be a PRIVATE LABEL possibility, it works for GREAT VALUE (Walmart). If the tea does something, you know relaxes, stimulates, aroma, what ever the exotic part is, then a testing process wouldn't take up a lot of time, maybe even hire one of those copywriters to create the STORY behind the tea. What makes it exotic? Why is it a secret? (if it is). What does it do for the tea drinker? I could probably offer my own private label tea, LUCKY AL'S LOTTERY TEA. Drink this tea, read the leafs, play those numbers. And I would have several markets to test it out in...and the sample is a fast way to build customers too. So, maybe YOU don't need passion, but on these sort of deals, you do need some sort of a TOLL, and you know this better than most of us too. If you get some sort of an exclusive, then you can use hired help to test it out. Watch out LIPTON, here comes DIENTEA. ha. Gordon |
