By the way, it's the first time I've seen this configuration of vBulletin - I rather like the threads showing at the top of the post! It'll be interesting to see how others react to the changes.

Thanks for mentioning the threading effect.

I have noticed, when a new message in the thread is clicked, it appears instantly. No waiting. Unlike the normal threaded message system.

Note to Dien: In addition to Ankesh's suggestions, might also pay to have a note which says, "Registration NOT required before posting" - if that is the case. Otherwise, people will think they need to register to post - or even read - and they won't do that.

It doesn't do this if you have your preference set to linear mode. Instead it shows all of the replies under the main message, much like the default for phpBB. I think I like this setting a little better...

I use the hybrid mode...best of both worlds. I get the message and the ability to access all the posts in a thread with one click. I can also choose to view just one post in a thread from the top listing. Nice...

Yes, I was getting "Sowpub forum withdrawal" too - so I had to get something else going on to stave off the "craving"...

I certainly like the new look of this forum. But my login information was gone when I tried to log into this new-look forum. I had to re-register.

I wonder how many people have the same problem.

This site now looks great though.
