![]() I have just purchased a new car and wanted to learn where I can go locally to get the windows tinted, so I started "googling". During the search I came upon sites selling info about how to get into this business. That got me curious about this type of venture. Anybody know about this business?

![]() I don't know anything about the tinting business, but I know of a guy on ebay that sells all the information and a kit for window tinting, and he sells a lot of them. Worth a look
His ebay ID is aftermarketprofits-com. Mack |

![]() Pete, I guess that did look like I was plugging my ebay auction. But it's not me, honest. I was shown the guy on ebay doing this business, and it's an excellant example of someone marketing to a particular niche.
But really, not me, I meant it when I said I know nothing of window tinting. Mack |

![]() Mack I appreciate getting the info about the ebay auction. Unfortunately, the guy also sells diet pills. Anyway, it doesn't really answer my question.

![]() There are three web sites you'll want to take a look at. They will pretty much provide you with the information you're looking for.
The one thing that screamed at at me... It Ain't Easy! ![]() How to Tint Windows http://www.tinting.com/ Window Tinting Laws: http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/ Basic Info on the "Art" of Window Tinting http://www.tintdude.com/ Good Luck! Pete |

![]() Pete, thanx. I did my own googling and found some sites too. I was hoping to hear from someone who either did it themselves, or knew someone in the business.

![]() 1) Car Cleaning biz for Auto Dealer's Trades.
One guy who visits here has a biz where he visits his Car dealer clients cleans the vehicles they got in on trade. He charges $35 for a "Cleaning" which is a wash, vacuum and "general" cleaning....NOT a "detail job". I think he said he does 10 to 20 cars a day. 2) Another guy charges $20 a car to "Recondition the Black Plastic" on the outside of vehicles. Makes the "black" look like new.
