![]() Hello,
I've started a new business manufacturing aluminum rails and staircases. This came about due to my getting layed off at the begining of this past month. My one remaining question is how to get a little financial backing. The shop I was working at was making rails and staircases, thier problem was when 9/11 hit all the jobs that were running wound up being effected by that event in the financial asspect. We went from having a ton of cash available to having $70,000 in a/r as apposed to $40,000 in a/p. It does not take a genius to figure out the outcome. No cash flow equals closed doors! So ended my life at that job and the begining of my new business. It is a widly sought item in this area. However the well is running dryand getting all the advertising done is drying out my savings that I can afford to put out. Where do I go from here? |

![]() I know that something like your getting into this business is actually newsworthy. It's a good "human interest" story that can be appealing to a reporter ... and a news story means free advertising.
Alas, I don't know HOW to get into a news story or on the radio, but I bet some folks here can help! You might also see if some of your local florists and garden shops would allow you to leave a "discount coupon" for your services at their shops. A "coupon" can also work as a type of flyer, but since it's small, you can print up a bunch of them for a few bucks and restock as needed. |
