![]() Jay,
Did you carefully read Don's post? Did you take your time in first digesting what Mr. Alm was saying before posting this? Don clearly emphasises the difficulty a gas station owner faces when attempting to do this on his own: "Then...when they make a few calls...they run into the ol' savior of our society, as we know it...The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) who DICTATES how we can remove oil from your driveways. Then...when Mr Gas Station owner finds out there are only ONE or 2 companies in their city that are "authorized" to remove the ugly oil from their drives and they charge a BUNDLE because they must collect every drop of water that is used to clean the oil off the concrete or asphalt....the average gas station owner says, "Forget it!" If it was easy for the station owner to do this himself, there would be no biz opportunity. Just like the deck renewal business, there first has to be a clearly identifiable problem, and a clearly identifiable solution to that problem. Don has clearly identified a problem, and has found solutions both in the deck renewal, and now this new business opportunity. I'm getting a little sick and tired of people who immediately immediately seek to criticize a Don Alm posting. Lay off of him! You don't have to accept his ideas, or even agree with them, but give him the courtesy and respect which he deserves. The man has been sharing great business ideas for a long time. Let's cut him some slack. Don this part is for you if you're reading this. You get hot too quickly whenever someone makes a critical comment. It's not worth it, my brother. Rise above the pettiness. You're NOT adding to your reputation by ugly responding to individuals who obviously take pleasure in baiting you. You may be tempted to go rip-roaring into Jay's post...don't. You're a successful master marketer who has shown repeatedly how to make real money. You have NOTHING to prove to others who are unwilling to make any effort, except to constantly criticize. God bless. Brent Whinfield. > If it's so easy and inexpensive, then why > wouldn't the station owner just do it > himself, or have an employee do it? > Jay |
