I agree. But you know, I've always felt that we (society in general--even though that may be a dangerous generality to make) have the time and we've always had the time...we just choose to waste most of it (I'm raising my hand right now as one of the guilty). The 80/20 rules my life as it does most of the people I know. We spend very little time doing the things that will really make a difference in our lives. Take the issue of money-making projects. How much time does it take to create a report that could be sold for $9.95 or set of audio tapes that be sold for $49.95? Your 10-day rule would probably work quite nicely here. If you know the topic, 10 days from start to finish is realistic. If you don't know the topic very well and you have to do some research how much more time do you need? 20 days, 30 days? A couple months? Follow Gary Halbert's instructions and order a bunch of reports being sold on the same subject and melt them down into a super-duper report...that'll take some money but how much time? Certainly not more than a couple weeks. Then place the ad. Heck I can place a 1/4 newspaper ad in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that goes to 1/2 million people for about $1,300 and the ad will run in only about 2 weeks from the time of insertion. After a month to a month and a half, you've put a product together, ran a large ad and tabulated the results. The project either lives or dies, but anyway you've done something, completed something. And this is the tough way to go, actually creating your own product. I think it was you and Jim Straw that posted info on the benefits of selling someone elses products. The number one reason (or close to it) is that you don't have to spend the time yourself to create. Place a small test ad in the Bremerton Sun newspaper in the state of Washington for only $120 and you reach 34,000 people in a couple weeks.

By the way, do you by chance have the list of steps that Ben Suarez used at SCI to complete projects? Now that would be something to read.

Take care,

Mike Winicki
