Emily,

First of all, if the fact that Michael Green is the pen name of a very successful marketer turns you off and causes dis-trust, I hope you don't do too much reading. Pen Names are NOT to be, no should they be associated with wrong doing.

Michael is VERY well known in his homeland, and prefers NOT to use his real name when marketing. Mostly because he's deeply involved in elected office over there.

Secondly, if you're so interested in the 20/20 Challenge, why don't you just go to Michael's forum and ask? You won't be the first, nor will you be the last to ask about it. AND, you'll get a lot more than "sweet nothings".

From your post, my advice to you is stay away from it. It's expensive, it takes a TON of work, and many of the more learned marketers that are a part of it recommend that "newbies" stay away.

Bottom line, if you're NEW to IM, you'll NOT be able to complete the 20/20 Challenge in 20-days. Probably not even in twice that amount of time.

And that's the name of that tune.

Pete

Hi, Emily - I'm sure that, as a Member of the UK Parliament, "Michael Green" can't afford to do anything in his business life which would torpedo his Parliamentary career. He chose to use a pen-name to keep the two sides of his life distinct; the UK Parliamentary rules require him to list his business interests and he's subject to the same scrutiny as any other MP. From that point of view, I'm sure that you need not worry.

As far as the quality of the content of the course - can't comment, as I haven't bought. However, I have seen testimonials that he issues refunds without question.

Hope that helps.

Margaret

Pete, I asked a question and expressed an opinion, next thing I know, it looks as though you're jumping down my throat. The reason I didn't ask in *his* forum is because it's *his* forum. I do appreciate your recommendation that it's not for newbies.

Thank you Phil. Your response was quite helpful and I'm off to read the links you've provided.

Since both you and Pete said it's not good for newbies, I'm going to hold off on it, read some more reviews, and learn the ropes. It was surprising though since the e-mail I received said the course was geared specifically for newbies.

I can appreciate the use of a pen name, especially if you're in an area where using your real name could cause a stir, but something didn't sit right with me about it personally. Not saying the guy's bad or anything, so please don't take it that way. Just expressing my opinion.

Margaret, your explanation was quite helpful as I wasn't familiar with UK rules or how they viewed someone using a pen name. Knowing that using a pen name would still mean he's accountable for his business and actions certainly does settle my "red flag alert".

Thanks for all your input everyone.

Emily

Emily,

I sorry you felt that I was "jumping down your throat".

The facts are, you need NOT be afraid to ask questions about 20/20 or any of Michael's other programs on his forum.

If people don't like it, they'll tell you! Michael doesn't go around "zapping" folks that question this, or any other program.

Here's MY point of view... If you want answers, you go to the source. You don't go to the local Ford Dealer if you've got a question about your Chevy, you go to the Chevrolet dealer. Why not do the same if you've got a question about an IM product?

I think you'll find that 99% of the marketers out there will gladly answer any and all questions you might have about their programs in an honest, straight forward manner. (At least the folks I deal with do.. Michael, Gordon J, Willie Crawford, etc.)

Finally, if you don't feel comfortable asking the owner/originator of the various programs, check out the Warrior forums. They have a special section where you can ask all the questions you want, and get plenty of input on various programs.

Hi, Emily, glad to help. It seems to me that someone such as Michael Green who obviously does a lot of business online is much more vulnerable to criticisms and complaints which might directly affect his offline public career than the majority of the online marketing fraternity. You can bet that there are loads of journalists just waiting to pounce on him from a great height if he gets it seriously wrong.

Success in your business endeavours!

Margaret
