I agree, your "flirt testing" method - even tipping with instant lottery tickets, $1 bills, or crazy toys - beats others who may tip $100, $200, $500, $1000, or more!

Why?

I say this because it's about the experience...

You make it fun for people. It's a surprise. They're getting a big dose of brain pleasure chemicals with your "flirt tipping" interactions! And they respond accordingly...

Great, great, great lessons here...

By the way, I didn't even know about the existence of these videos before Glenn mentioned them. There are various videos online where people tip large amounts, to see the reaction of the waitress, etc.

In reality, the reaction can be a little underwhelming... (But those videos also have huge views! So maybe there's a lesson there somewhere...)

By the way, I think a video series on flirt tipping would be a heck of a lot of fun...

Thanks Glenn for posting your "Flirt Tipping" stories.

It seems to me the reason they are so effective instead of the guys flashing hundreds or thousands of dollars is that it is unique.

When I was in high school, I worked as a bellman for a local hotel and I was getting tips daily. Every once in a while i would get a $10 or $20 tip and I was thankful. But it was a "normal" part of the job, getting tips... even large ones.

The one tip that stood out among all others was when I did some service for actor, Vincent Price, who was staying at the hotel. I DID NOT WANT A TIP, I was doing the service as a favor. He tipped me anyway and I was shocked at his kindness and remarks to me, personally. It was unique for me.

So, giving scratch-offs, dollar-tipping, in the unique ways Glenn has expressed are DIFFERENT. They make an impact.

That is the real value... IMPACT.
