Default .com all the time

Hi, Bob - my own experience with .co.uk domains suggests that they aren't as easy to manage as .com domains when you come to sell/change registrars. I don't think it's as difficult as formerly, but I know for sure that .coms are much easier to organise.

Apart from that, what makes domains successful is building links from other sites back to the domain and, in that respect, it probably doesn't matter too much which domain extension you use.

If you intend to resell the domain with sales/traffic/income/profit, then I'd go for .com every time.

Not sure if this helps??

Margaret

Default The redirect in question

... is taking you from the .com site to the .co.uk where they appear to be making money by integrating Google search into the site, as well as running a directory of UK sites. If you look a little further, these are franchised to individuals in each town featured.

Are you looking to buy a franchise to run in the States??
