Default Is This The Beginning Of The End For The USA?

Is it time for those who can to move to Galt's Gulch ?

I feel like ranting after reading some of today’s news…

20 States Gathering Petitions to Leave the Union:
http://dailycaller.com/2012/11/11/wh...rom-19-states/

Food Stamp benefits in Ohio to be reduced by $50 per month in January
http://www.toledoblade.com/State/201...to-be-cut.html

Mike Adams has been predicting that America will split up for some time now:
http://www.naturalnews.com/025638_go...ion_power.html

I fear that Ann Ryand was right when she said:

“Every movement that seeks to enslave a country, every dictatorship or potential dictatorship, needs some minority group as a scapegoat which it can blame for the nation's troubles and use as a justification of its own demands for dictatorial powers. In Soviet Russia, the scapegoat was the bourgeoisie; in Nazi Germany, it was the Jewish people; in America, it is the businessmen."

America had a chance to send a businessman to the white house… a business turn around artist who offered a prescription of hard work to turn the economy around. Instead they voted for a lying lawyer/politician who thinks he’s Robbin Hood and the majority look up to big government as being Santa Clause.

Yep… Old Santa is doing a great job… only to keep it up he is going to have to enslave the Elf’s to keep them from rebellion.

All those millions of rounds of illegal hollow point bullets the Fed purchased last year just might have been in preparation for dissent.

Might be time to move to Galt's Gulch.

What do you think?

Cheers,
Steve

Good post -- not sure how long it will last, though.

Here's how I look at it -- our economic "freedoms" come mainly from three words...

PEOPLE BUY THINGS.

Transactions are the cornerstone of this nation's economy.
Obama does not understand that.
Until he gets it, we are all doomed.

PS: Also, I'm one of those who believes he's screwing things up on purpose -- but that's another story.

Hi Phil, I see the USA headed in that direction but I don't think it will happen in the next year or two. After all... look how long Greece has been over the financial cliff and they are still hanging on. Surely America can hang on much, much longer. The rest of the world can't afford America to default on it's debt.

Besides... much of that debt is owned by America... nothing that a few slick politicians, lawyers and fuzzy accountants can't doctor up for another decade or two.

The economy may even rebound a little... at least for a while... I hope.

Cheers,
Steve

Default Make Lemonade...

There are going to be a lot of individuals in trouble as the companies with 50 or more full time employees cut those employees back from full time to 29 hours a week to avoid the Obamacare fees....lots of opportunity there.

Yes indeed… for creative entrepreneurs … there is more opportunity now than ever. It’s business creators who will solve problems and put people back to work!

Cheers,
Steve

Nice one there Steve!

Every country has it's own ups and downs. It's up to those politicians and other people with power (money) to work out on solutions that would really last, not just some crappy solutions that would only last a year and then would bounce back a problem hundred times fold.

Unfortunately, Romney, even if he wanted to change things, Steve, would not be allowed to. Key conspiracy music here.

We should not be looking to politicians to fix the problems they themselves were a part of making? Same goes to Big money, etc., etc.

In short, look after yourself first. You won't change their actions, but you can change yours.

Hi Steve,

I really believe that it is during times of change that there's the most opportunity.

I remember reading a few years ago that, after one of those hurricanes in Florida, people selling power generators were making a lot of money.

I just did a quick search - and yes, it's happened again during Hurricane Sandy...

Hurricane Sandy Boosts the Generator Makers
http://www.businessweek.com/articles...nerator-makers

It might seem to be in "bad taste" to point this out - but a fact is a fact...

All changes bring opportunities - social change, demographic change, technological change, weather changes, and also political and financial changes...

Best wishes,

Dien
