The product developers idea farm & How to become a famous Artist
Some people get frustrated by search engine results that they deem irrelevant.
To me, they are just great new opportunities. Let me tell you about a couple of totally amazing things I found, while looking for something else. Ever run short of ideas for product ideas, or wondered if something completely off the wall would fly? If you thought custard filled speed bumps, or a head-mounted Presence Denier would be cool, then you need to check out: http://www.halfbakery.com/ Now you may not think of yourself as an artist, or you may have considered it as a career and rejected it on the grounds of not wanting to starve in a garret, but whatever your stance on art, I suggest you download the free book at: http://www.innisart.com/ its, quirky, funny, and really useful, whatever creative field you are in. I have NO personal or commercial interest in either of these sites. They are just random gems among the mundane and dross. ; My real business |

Re: The product developers idea farm & How to become a famous Artist
Interesting post Boyd. I have just finished
a fairly exhaustive look back at many of the major inventions in last 200 years. Care to guess at what the #1 technique was for inventing highly successful products? Serendipity. That's right, most of them were created to solve a smaller problem or simply were stumbled upon by accident - much like your web surfing example. The halfbakery site is just super. Very closely aligned with what master innovator Joey Reiman talks about in his book "Thinking for a Living" He talks about ideas being this generations real currency. In fact, his newest project has taken him from years in the advertising industry to running idea generation groups. Fascinating topic. > Some people get frustrated by search engine > results that they deem irrelevant. > To me, they are just great new > opportunities. Here's a way to make sure you're remembered....
Hi Garry,
Thanks - those are a couple of interesting sites! The artist marketing book looks pretty good too (I downloaded it to read later).... I agree - you can stumble on some interesting things as you surf around.... Here's something I stumbled on to recently as I was searching for something else on the web, which I added to my "Favorites".... If you have one of these, you'll get noticed! Stainless steel business cards! I think if you gave someone one of these, they'd definitely remember you.... :) (Link below....) - Dien Rice Stainless Steel Business Cards.... |
