Default What's missing - social media

Dien, Gordon and the crew ...

Loving what you are doing with the forum, and want to see it do well.

I was thinking that we need to be able to share, via facebook, twitter, and so on, posts and threads.

Something like "share this" or one of the many plug-ins that make it one-click simple to interact with the social webs would be a great addition. I think the forum would really benefit from that.

Just an idea ...

thanks!

Hi Robert,

Thanks, that's a great idea! I'll see what I can do to implement something like that...

Best wishes,

Dien

Default Right on Robert J we want to build relationships.

Thanks a great idea. We just talked about our promotion for the private writers/publishing forum, and I want to avoid all the copywriting hype and promises.

What we want to do is build relationships with those members and not just sell them how to info. In fact, it is the whole direction we want to go.

Too many salesman, copy writers, hypesters...not enough help and group support.

So social media would be a huge benefit for our members, we will discuss this very soon, right Dien?

Thanks again Robert J.

I've seen some discussion online about vBulletin using AddtoAny plugin, which might work for you: https://www.addtoany.com/

Regards,
Steve

We are going kind of slow at this new start (after 15 years, we still don't know what we're doing)...but this looks promising for rapidly getting our NEW message out about SowPub.

We want to spend this Spring "catering" to our base, before we get the Tsunami of newbies coming t6his way.

I've bookmarked this site, may see many buttons here soon.

Gordon

Thanks Steve,

That looks like a great resource! I didn't know about it, but I will definitely look into it further.

Thanks again!

Best wishes,

Dien

I am too selfish. I kind of like Sowpub the way it is, a smaller forum.
On the warrior forum if someone comes up with a good idea a horde
of copycat marketers will copy it and stomp it to death. Total overkill!
They will inplement the idea, hire virtual assistants to spam the idea,
create WSOs claiming the idea was theirs and sent the idea to a thousand people on their list!
I have found some gems on this forum which probably have not reached the masses yet.
Still I agree that it is better for Sowpub to grow rather than fade out through lack of attention. So that's the positive side to growth!

Hi Trevor,

Well, Gordon and I agree that we definitely don't want to become the Warrior Forum, mark 2!

I've found that over there you have to go through a lot of "chaff" to get to the "wheat!" There's some good stuff there, but you have to dig for it...

Hopefully we can grow, and keep the quality intact!

Alas, more forums whither up and die than become diluted by success.

Growth, certainly, brings its pains ... but look at the bright side, Dien. If you guys can sell the forum for as much as WF was sold for ... that's a pretty fair silver lining, no?!?!
