Default A note to those who knew...Lawrence

[Posted by palmanator:]

I don't get by the forum much due to the off-line projects I find myself engaged in these days, but thought I would drop by and let ya'll know that Lawrence, a frequent poster to SOW died last week.

Since he lived in the Seattle area, we had developed a very close friendship over the last 3 years, and spoke almost daily on the phone.

We had also developed and worked together on a number of business ideas, and I will surely miss him.

About 5 months ago, he was recently diagnosed with liver and pancreas cancer.

He was a great guy.

Regards,
John Palma

Wow... I'm shocked and saddened by this news. I didn't really know Lawrence personally, but I really enjoyed his posts... I always enjoyed it whenever I saw he had posted something new...

He will be very sadly missed (by me and undoubtedly countless others)...

Thank you for sharing the news... He was a great contributor to this forum, incredibly sharp and also very generous with his insights - an all around wonderful guy...

His posts here are a testament to that generosity of spirit he had - as well to his sharp mind (I was always impressed by what he had done!).

I never know what to say in these situations, because I always feel such a sense of sadness and loss... But perhaps the way to look at it is to be grateful for having been lucky enough to have had him "in" our lives, even if only in a small way by reading and learning from his posts...

John,

Thanks for alerting us of this sad incident.

It is very sad to hear this news about Lawrence. Even though I never met him personally, I have communicated with him and he was truly a giving and very astute business person. His ideas and insights have positively affected my way of thinking about business.

He and his posts will certianly be missed.

I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

Tony

Thats really really sad news!

I loved Lawrence's ideas and sales techniques. Never met him. But had sent quite a few emails back and forth.

His reflective address selling system was a gem! He had sent the details to me and it was brilliant the way he managed to sell to 60-80% of the houses to buy his installation services! I've never met anyone else who has had such a high response rate of selling!

Lawrence was a great human being. Very kind. A brilliant marketer. And someone who had the just-do-it attitude.

Will miss him a lot.

Thanks John,

Lawrence gave away a lot of FREE practical useful advice, and those that put it to use, were always grateful for his real life experience and tested and proven results.

His online legacy will remain a valuable part of our archives, and we send our condolences to his family.

John, on a personal note, Lawrence and I discussed some Hotsheets...I don't know if he ever developed them, but if his family has a need or want or a place to market his products, they are welcome to let Dien or myself know and we'll do our best to help out.

Hopefully, he provided for his family, but those medical bills can wipe out the best of intentions. John, send me an email and let me know if we can be of any service to his family.

Thanks for sharing this with us, and those new to the forum would do themselves a favor by finding some of LAWRENCE's posts...

they are golden.

Sincerely,

Gordon Jay Alexander

A couple years ago I interviewed Lawrence on a conference call I do. The interview lasted 45 minutes ... and the questions from callers lasted an hour. He was truly a fascinating guy and willing to share it all.

Very sad to hear of his passing.
