I've always noticed something in Forums; People who offer NO "threads".....
NO "Ideas".....
yet.....get their "jollies" by taking a whack at me!
Causes me to ask; "What did I say that caused this person to dislike me and want to hurt me?"
Then I think...maybe it's not me! Maybe it's THEM!....who have an "ego" or other...."mental disorder"!

I don't think it's ego that drives some to spew their hate onto others.
I think it's envy.
When you are very successful at what you do, a certain portion of the
population, who secretly covet your success, will lash out at you.
There is nothing you can do to help this type of person. It's best to
ignore them. That takes the fire out of their venom.
When they are ignored, they move on. That's good for everyone, especially
you.
