Phil,

Nice post. When we raised goats, we sold their milk. Lots of babies can only drink goat's milk. We also made cheese and ice cream. Whenever we were invited to a bbq or get together the standing order was to bring ice cream and cheese

My kids didn't have cow milk or cavities until they were teenagers. They even liked goat meat hamburgers better than regular hamburgers. A goat roast or rack of ribs is also hard to beat.

We couldn't keep a garden because they always figured how to get in. They'd eat all the vegetables in one fell swoop. Annoying as hell.

I can wax on for hours but suffice it to say, I love those animals.
