America agrees, apparently.

SEARS at a Mall? DYING quickly. SEARS Hometown and Outlet, one of the fastest growing franchises. Home Depot and Lowes? Still OK, but ACE Hardware also a fast growing "mom and pop" feel type store as is Tractor Supply Company, serving smaller towns and doing very well. Best Buy? What could you do with the one soon to be vacant near you? I think some sort of a game center or just a warehouse might work. Walmart closing? YIKES, but, don't forget the roots, small town five and dime stores with a bit of everything at low prices...today's version: Dollar General (and most dollar type stores are thriving)... Bad news for middle class malls...those appealing to the affluent, with their designer brands, are looking good. Perhaps further proof of the growing chasm between the haves and the have nots.
