Default Here's why it's smart to start an email list...

We were recently mentioning Glenn Osborn's teachings...

One thing Glenn does is he sometimes asks people to "vote" on which book or report title they like best...

This informs him on what he should title his next book or report!

The fact is, the title of a book or report is like the headline of an ad... or the subject line of an email... People will judge the book by its title - and buy or not buy as a result...

And here is why I would recommend that - if you haven't done so - you should create an email list...

It gives you a quick way to "judge" which titles are better...

Firstly, there are the subject lines of your emails. Once you have enough people on your email list, you can get solid feedback for how good a particular subject line is, based on the email's opening rate...

When people encounter an email, typically they don't see much more than the subject line. If they find it interesting enough, they'll open the email... Otherwise, they won't...

This is very valuable information!

You can also do "split tests" - where half of your email list gets one subject line, and the other half gets another one... And you can see which one gets a bigger opening rate...

I sometimes go over past emails I've sent to my email list, just to compare opening rates... Which can be very interesting and instructive!

One of the great things about working for a company that sends out a lot of email (as I once did) - and hires a bunch of copywriters - is this...

They'll hopefully let you see how everyone's email opening rates compare. It's very instructive...

And of course, you can also do what Glenn does, and easily survey your readers...

So... if you haven't started an opt-in email list yet... I encourage you to do so...

Best wishes,

Dien

P.S. If you have an email list already, I have a great potential opportunity for you... Please shoot me an email (you can reach me at [email protected] )...
