Default Re: You may have an UPSELL, but do you have a DOWNSELL...and video a coming...

GJ...the first "internet success" story I learned of was 2 lawyers who wrote a book about what topic, I've forgotten....but how they sold a gazillion copies was by posting the first 3 chapters on their website...then...if readers liked what they read...they could place an order for the book.

This was "dangling the carrot"....getting readers so entrenched they HAD to find out what happened.

One of my "Remote Marketing" successes was making a Video of the Biz-Op I was selling and offering the Video "Free"...with a "Refundable Deposit of $20". If they didn't want to buy the program they could return the video for a refund. I think I "sold" a few thousand videos on this basis AND...the refunds were something like 1 out of 100.

By the same token, if you offered a small sampling of your program (to build up trust)....I'll bet many would buy the complete program.

Look at Allen Says and his "Warrior" thing. He charged something like $45 to become a Member and Members were then "let in" to his inner-sanctum where they had access to LOTS of stuff....and...Allen keeps tossing in new items for which Members get a "special price".

Another "Remote Marketing" thingee I used successfully was;
Place a bunch of stuff onto a Floppy disk (nowadays you'd use a CD) and ENCRYPT each File.

I'd run ads for "Inquiries" about my programs and instead of sending them a 4 page Sales Letter...asking them to send me their order....I included my 4 page Sales Letter AND, I included the Encrypted Floppy....and the Sales Letter told them that they "did NOT have to wait for delivery"...the Item/s they wanted were ALREADY in their hands....on the Floppy...however, they were encrypted and to UnLock them they had to call my 800 Order Number and give their CC and they'd receive the "Key" to unlock.

I think I sold a LOT of programs thru the motivator of insatiable CURIOSITY. They didn't have to wait or wonder if they would receive their order...THEY ALREADY HAD IT....all they had to do was OPEN IT.

You could also consider putting your program on a CD and encrypting it. Anyone looking at the contents of the CD can readily SEE the amount of KB's in each file.
