Default Re: Are YOU Living YOUR Dream?

Hi Taylor,

Congratulations on living your dream! And also thanks for the entertaining article. :)

In my case, I had some funny dreams as a kid....

I remember that I had a Dr. Seuss book at around age 5 or 6 or so, it was called "My Book About Me" (it seems to still be in print). It had blank spaces where you could fill in stuff, and one of the sections was "What I want to be when I grow up."

As I remember, it had one blank space.... But I filled up the whole page! I'm not kidding.... I remember writing "mad scientist, racing car driver, fireman, astronaut" and so on, and running out of space so I had to cram everything in there, writing smaller and smaller and smaller.

I don't think I knew the word "entrepreneur" yet back then though, or I'm sure I would have stuck it there right next to "mad scientist". :)

But how successful you are is partly in your head.... When we feel unhappy, it's often because of things like jealousy or envy, and that's kind of a "false" source of unhappiness. Sometimes we push ourselves due to jealousy or envy, and while that sometimes works, I think it doesn't really make you happy....

However, you might also push yourself further as a challenge, and that's the sort of motivation I think which means you can be happy and still yet strive for greater things, to find your own limitations....

Thanks Taylor! I really enjoyed what you had to say, and I hope you write more.... :)

Best wishes,

Dien
