Steve, There's really no shopping cart system that can make the PDF delivery process foolproof. That was my point in the article referenced at the beginning of the thread. No matter how you explain, many customers aren't familiar with how to pick up a download, or their particular setup of Adobe Acrobat on their computer makes it hard for them to open the file, or they can't find it on their hard disk, and so on. I've had such problems myself when buying PDFs, and I am not a stupid person, so you can't blame this on unsophisticated customers and assume your buyers won't have problems. Talk to anyone selling digital downloads and you will discover that they spend lots of time sorting out and solving customer problems. Marcia Yudkin Read about this problem in more detail... |
