This is an interesting topic! Unfortunately I don't have much experience in it, but....

One thing I do know is that J. Paul Getty apparently made TWO fortunes.

The first was in oil.

The second was in ART.

I think what he did was have experts school him on how to recognize good art pieces. So maybe that's the direction you would have to think, perhaps?

I'm not sure.... I hope some others have some more suggestions, because I think this is a fascinating topic.... :)
