Is this a new marketing tool

I just learned this but not sure what to do with it...You and I both know of or have use postcards in the snail world

I just saw and learn of e-cards. Has anyone seen or use them.

1. How do you use them.
2. What kind of results did you get.

My guess and it is only a guess, you would use them in emails with text following the e-card.
