![]() I booted up my computer to print out an ebook I bought yesterday. It was a pdf file. It looked great on my monitor screen, but I wanted to print out a copy and read it away from the computer...
Not this ebook! Printing was dis-abled. Don't ever do this to me...if I want to print a copy, I should be able to print a copy. I understand that someone can print a copy, run off a zillion copies at OfficeMax and distribute them...but who is going to do that in these days and times. Yes, the file was locked. I entered a password to open the book...but look! It created a Temp file called c154.pdf. What if I saved that file and tried to open it...bet I don't need a password now... Oh, well...I may never finish reading this ebook since I must read it off the monitor... Please, please, please--tell me before I buy your ebook that I can't print a hard copy. (Then, of course, I may not buy it--which is why you didn't tell me in the first place, right?!) Bah, Humbug! Merry Christmas, everyone... JDB Unlock your future...keys to success |

![]() Two versions: a non-printable one and a printable one at a higher price.
Would you pay the higher price? Michael Ross P.S. I wouldn't. And I wouldn't buy the non-printable version either. |

![]() There's a guy giving away ebooks. Unfortunatly,
they are .exe files that only windows 98 and higher can read. I like my windows 95 and not going to change just to read ebooks. Now, if I can't read his freebies, why on earth would I order products from him. Over half of the people in this country (not to mention foreign countries), DO NOT HAVE A COMPUTER. Those that do, a lot DON'T HAVE ULTRA MODERN ONES. If you're selling products aimed at people who see your book on making a hundred dollars a day as a major step up in the world...be advised. |

![]() My computer won't allow me to type the kind of words that would answer your question! :)
At what point did we totally lose it on customer service. A few years ago I bought a $100 product that was really just an advertisement for his $4,500 product. Never did get my money back. He ended up serving time for his greed. > Two versions: a non-printable one and a > printable one at a higher price. > Would you pay the higher price? > Michael Ross > P.S. I wouldn't. ![]() There's no reason for two versions--
Enable printing, and price it accordingly. Printing disabled, and acknowledged, is a definite dis-incentive for me to buy. JDB Let me introduce Dave Vallieres... |

![]() I wonder why any author would disable the print function. Anyone frustrating their customers after the sales process loses repeat business. No referrals and no repeat sales. It's just not worth it.
