![]() For some, this apparently works. It's been called "Cyber Begging"....
It's where people put up a web site, asking you to send some money. One web site, "Save Karyn", has apparently already received $10,800. You can read all about it (and other "Cyber Begging" sites) in this article.... I'd be way too embarassed to try anything like this myself. I wouldn't want to make a living from begging! But it's still interesting to know about.... An interesting twist on this is the Dutch student who set up a web site to ask people if he could stay at their house for a day while he was traveling. He ended up traveling through 16 countries in 16 months, and received more than 3400 invitations from 70 countries! - Dien Rice P.S. Here are the sites (from the article), in case the article disappears.... P.P.S. If you'd really like to help a good cause - I like the Red Cross.
