Default The human American flag, in tribute to the victims of 9/11

Over 5,000 people dressed in red, white, and blue to form a human American flag in tribute to the victims of 9/11 at Surfer's Paradise, on the Gold Coast, Australia, today....

I've placed some photos below....

Hi Rick,

I'm glad you like the photos!

I got a bit behind on my email, but I'm now catching up, and I'll reply to it very shortly. :)

Thanks for the pics Dien. I think that's awesome!

I know certain people may sometimes feel inundated (myself included) by the press's
"nonstop" coverage of the events that unfolded on that horrible day. It gets to a point where you just want to say "enough already, let's move on!"

But, nonetheless, it's always nice to know we have friends (especially in a country as cool as Australia!) pulling for us.

Thanks Again

Default Will there ever be the human Bosinan flag, in tribute to the victims of 7/11?

First of all...
I wish to express my deep sorrow and condolences to the victims and their families and friends of September 11th.

When you said about the press's "nonstop" coverage of the events that unfolded on that horrible day, it reminded me about the worst case of genocide in Europe since World War II.
It also hapened on 11th.

On 11 July 1995 (not so long ago) in Srebrenica, Bosnia, the world's first United Nations "Safe" Area.

The Bosnian Serb army staged a brutal takeover of the small, intimate spa town Srebrenica and its surrounding region. The Bosnian Serb soldiers separated Muslim families and systematically murdered about 10,000 men and boys in fields, schools, and warehouses.

I wonder will anyone ever post the pics in memory of 7/11, if anyone even heard about this worst crime in last decades.

I hnow that this is not the forum for this kind of posts, but it's just a thought on how things in world actually works.

Default The best thing to do is....

Hi Bilal,

Many atrocities were definitely committed in Bosnia as well as many other places, unfortunately, the world is full of atrocities. They are all terrible and heart-wrenching....

How do you respond to this? I think the best response is to do something - whatever little you can. Donate some money to a good charity, it could be Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres), it could be Amnesty International, it could be the Red Cross or another charity. (I usually donate to the Red Cross.)

I think that's the best action that anyone can take, short of going out "in the field" and helping in person....
