Default A response to Tom Lascsak

Erik,

You're willing to take in $1,440.00 per year ($30.00 per month X 12 months X 4
commitments) for sending out 10 letters to a compiled list (you chose these
restaurants from a phone book at random, this is the weakest form of list
there is).”

Of course I’m willing to. But one thing you’re not taking into account is the $125+ each to setup each restaurant guide in a hotel lobby (lectern, expensive binder, delivery time).

Oh, and you’re also figuring that every restaurant will continue to pay the $30 a month for the whole year. I think that’s a little unrealistic. I wouldn’t bet on more than an average of 4 months if you have no contract in place.

That brings the numbers down a little.

For a total of 4 commitments
4 months average
4x4x30 = $480

Doesn’t sound too unrealistic now, does it?

For mailing out 10 fed exes, coordinating by phone and in person, and laying out, resizing, laminating, color Xeroxing, all the odd shaped menus you’re going to get.

How’s that sound Tom?

And yet, that’s the sort of thing that someone with the time and energy and interest will still see as a goldmine.

“If anyone knew how to generate that kind of profit from the next to nothing
effort that you're suggesting, they would either charge you so much for it
that an oil-producing barron country dictator couldn't afford it, or they
would just quietly rake in the billions for themselves.”

: ) Yes, you’re right friend. And that’s my point, that’s not what’s going to be offered.

“You've got no concept of business, reality, or worth.”

Well, what would you plop your money down for, Tom?

I pay for concepts from the marketing masters just like everyone else. But I try not to spend money on “packaged business ideas” unless they’re a little more fleshed out.

Success,

Erik Lukas
