Dien, Amazon.com has ranking numbers that tell you how well particular books sell at Amazon in comparison with all their other books. This doesn't give you absolute numbers, but if you consistently see numbers like 600,000, that's bad news. Also, SRDS gives you very precise circulation figures for magazines, in some cases even audited figures. This can be extremely useful for such research.
