I see educational snobbery here! (Translation: drudges who manage to eek through enough courses to qualify for the degree (by leaching and cheating), while NONE of the process changes them fundamentally . . . and none of the knowledge they'vr gained is furthered by their ruminations)

Those who seek further degrees (especially in what is called "difficult subjects," are those who want to KNOW! Often, if what they learn and discover is useful to the rest of the world, it is entirely irrelevant, and is a by-product of their quest.
