Gordon,

Thirty years ago I studied an electronics correspondence course from Cleveland Institute of Electronics. It was a collection of booklets, each one on a different topic. It was programmed learning with built-in quizzes and a test after completing each booklet. There were several more comprehensive tests after completing a series of booklets. This was 1970...before all of the modern electronic conveniences of PCs, CD-roms, and videos.

About 12 years ago I did some of the Hume financial course...

Last year I went through a 13 week (13 lesson) Dave Ramsey course. You watched a video of him speaking at a seminar, and then you participated in a live classroom discussion from a study guide (3-ring binder with several fill-in-the blanks pages for each lesson and a hard cover book--"Financial Peace".)

I may have some of the CIE electronic printed course around somewhere (finding it will be the trick). I think I tossed the Hume materials in a weak moment...I usually keep EVERYTHING but my wife ENCOURAGES me to throw stuff away if I haven't used it for years.

I do know where the Dave Ramsey course materials are...Oh, I almost forgot...I did get audio tapes, too, and a diskette with financial software. I believe the audio tapes are the sound tracks of the videos we watched. Dave Ramsey does it all--writes books, gives seminars which he tapes, then sells books, tapes (audio and video), combines it all together for his Financial Peace University study course, gives you a lifetime membership, and discounts on future seminars and materials. A total marketing package...it keeps going, and going, and going...and the money keeps flowing, and flowing, and flowing...

I'm not sure if I answered your question with any worthwhile information or not, but there it is...if I can help, let me know...

Be blessed,

JDB
