I also prefer the term "Physical Activity" over exercise. Exercise seems to be dull and boring and monotonous. Physical Activity, on the other hand, can be anything - doing the housework, gardening, walking to the local store for the paper, walking your children to school, tossing a ball around with your children, playing with your dog, walking to the mail box to post a letter, etc. Doing Physical Activity which does not appear to be exercise - as exercise is now known as - is not like doing exercise at all. You don't notice it. But your body sure does - notice it and benefit, that is. (No, physical activity does not include running around the supermarket getting the ingredients to make a big chocolate cake ;o)) Sorry TLC. Michael Ross Give your brain a work out |
