Remember the Advice of Yoda....
Hi Gordon,
Great -- and very stimulating -- post.... :) I admire that you really do DO.... You created the Chattel Report, Remote Hypnosis, Think And Reach Par, ePubAdvisor, and other things as well.... You are an excellent example that way. People can buy a copy of the Chattel Report, or of Remote Hypnosis, or of Think and Reach Par, and see that you are really DOING it.... You've created info-products, so you are an excellent person to learn from about how to do it yourself too -- as well as the rest of the "gang" at ePubAdvisor! > If you want to save a lot of time, and grab > hold of OPPORTUNITY at an accepted “cost”… > Then do something. > You will learn far more from the DOING than > from the waiting, tweaking, thinking, > analyzing, lining things up…blah, > blah….BLAH. I agree... I try to learn by doing... At some stage, you have to make the leap and get out there and do it, or else you don't get anywhere.... I had an interesting discussion about this recently.... I was feeling a bit apprehensive about doing something I needed to do.... And this person reminded me to take the advice of Yoda (from Star Wars).... "The advice of Yoda?" I asked, puzzled. "What's that?" So let me share with you the advice of Yoda, the ancient Jedi Master.... In the "Empire Strikes Back," Luke Skywalker's spaceship is stuck in a swamp. That's the scene in which he meets Yoda, and Yoda begins to teach him to use the Force.... Yoda teaches Luke how to levitate, and Luke is happily levitating rocks and other light objects.... Then Yoda instructs Luke to levitate the spaceship out of the swamp. "Okay, I'll try" says Luke, doubting that he can really do it, but not wanting to disappoint the Master.... And Yoda sharply responds, "NO! There is no 'try.' Do! Or do not do." So... Don't try, do! That's the advice of Yoda! :) Thanks Gordon.... It was a great post! :) Cheers, Dien |
