I've been fascinated by the "unexplained" ever since I was a kid... And every now and then I still catch myself watching a documentary about one of these "mysteries"...

Just to follow on from what Pete said, according to various tests advertisers have done, it's harder to read light text on a dark background - at least in print, so it could be true on the screen too...

However, I see why you did it. The black background adds "atmosphere"...

Maybe there's a way you can get the "best of both worlds" - perhaps with a black "border" around the text area, but have the actual background of the "main" section (where your text is) be of a lighter color (with black text)?

Anyway, great blog... I'm looking forward to the exposition of some mysteries!

hahahaha, yep, I'm no worse for wear, it seems! Thank you for that, Dien, I'm glad you enjoyed it...I like that sort of thing, too. He wants me to put an experience on there that I had when I was an early teen, but I'm not about to, so far, anyway - it spooks me to this day!

But anyway, now if I could just figure out a way to get a counter on that thing! I signed up for veretekk, but it seems to be a very complicated process to place a hit counter from them on the blog. Maybe we'll luck out & someone on here will know how.

This is of course, just my 2¢ but I wouldn't put a counter on the site. Unless of course we're talking about making hubby happy again.

If you look around, you'll find very few if any of them on blogs, or any top-notch website.

Now then. If you simply MUST have a counter, do a quick google search and see what you can come up with. There may be a very simple one floating out there in space that would just do the trick for you.
