Female entrepreneurs, and asking for some good books to read.... :)
Hi Julie... :)
Thanks for the link to all those recipes, and I thought your article about fear was terrific! Julie, I know this doesn't really follow on very well from what you wrote, but I'm really trying to learn more now about great businessWOMEN, or women entrepreneurs.... I've studied many businessMEN, or men entrepreneurs, but I've realized that my knowledge of women entrepreneurs is lacking.... So, Julie and everyone else, I'd like to ask you -- do you have any women entrepreneur heroes? People you look up to and would like to emulate? And secondly, do you recommend any books regarding business, entrepreneurship, marketing, etc. written by women? I'd like to know what I ought to read.... So far, I only can think of a couple very prominent women entrepreneurs.... One of the most successful is Martha Stewart (ah! there's the link with recipes! I knew there was a link in here somewhere... ;) ) She has turned her name into a powerful brand name, which she uses to promote her magazine, TV shows, as well as a mail order catalog and various products. Forbes magazine lists her as the 297th richest American (worth $1 billion).... The other women entrepreneur that springs to mind is Anita Roddick, from the UK, the founder of the Body Shop. I don't know too many details though -- she wrote an autobiography I plan to read.... :) But, any other female entrepreneurs I can read about? And any good books written by women that you recommend? (I've read MANY books by men, and I'm looking for what may be a different perspective, to broaden my education....) Thanks :) Dien Forbes magazine on Martha Stewart.... |
