Hi GJA,
Thanks for your post. I like the airplane metaphor a mentor of mine shared with me. It takes a lot of fuel to get the airplane in the sky - but then you can put it into cruise control and use less fuel to maintain the same height - once its in the air. Not many people want to spend the energy and take action to get their airplanes up. -- Another hidden message in your post - and I've been thinking about it since quite some time now - why be a contestant on the show? Why not try to be like Simon Fuller (creator of American Idol)? Hasn't he managed to create a toll position for all aspiring singers? |

Hello Gordon,
Thanks for the great post - greatly appreciated! :-) It reminded me of three things: 1. "There is no such thing as a free lunch" - Nothing worthwhile in life is free. 2. Those who have a passion for action get results. 3. Even those who are successful usually have to work hard for a while before breaking through; we just don't always hear about and think that they just happened to have overnight success when that is rarely the case for anyone. Again, thanks for the post - greatly appreciated! Take care and have a great day! Sincerely, Joe Chengery III |
