![]() I'd legislate that every new home should have solar panels in the roof! Even if we reduce the requirement for fossil fuels by only a few percent, it's still a contribution to the reduction in greenhouse gases.
.... now, where's the campaign fund? Where did I leave the ballot boxes ![]() Margaret

![]() But are "they" right about global warming? Or are the dissenting scientists right? I for one am not convinced...

Hi, Bill - I'm not completely convinced either. However, my reasons for thinking about solar/alternative energy supplies are more to do with the ever-spiralling cost of oil because the demand for fuel from the developing world is only going to grow. Being totally reliant on a few oil-producing countries makes us very vulnerable to political whim - and I see solar/alternative energy as a means to insulate ourselves (slightly) from future squabbles between oil producers and those who might consume it. Like farming, changes in production of solar panels cannot be switched on overnight; there will be a lead time of several years before any meaningful contribution could be made to the nation's energy consumption. As for global warming, my understanding is that the earth heats and cools on a cycle of thousands of years, completely independently from man's contribution. Margaret

![]() Hey Gordon -
I think you're REALLY onto something here ... in fact, it seems like a non-gamblers version of trending with the stock market (the people who play stocks work the market through news-driven criteria etc.) ... ...but my question is - it used to be Google that you could do Adwords through and market short reports through with a single landing sales page - but they won't allow you to do that anymore (without charging an insane PPC cost - and that will negate the $7 report one is trying to market - be it a "find higher ground" report or "don't get caught when the levee breaks" report) ... ..so aside from affiliate programs - how would you recommend marketing these? Or do you think Yahoo adwords (or whatever they call them) would be better? Again, I think this is a brilliant idea ...make simple reports based upon media driven stories... with an extremely low cost (micro-payment) that people will think "what the heck - might be worth it"... I'm just hung-up on where to get the eyeballs without breaking the bank and without having to take a year to build an affiliate network of people selling the reports. Thanks to all that chime in, in advance... KK |

![]() I'm not all that sure about global warming. But then, I'm not that sure about anything anymore.
![]() One interesting thing I did see on the old boob-tube this past weekend said that everytime someone switched to the flourescent light instead of their good old standard light bulb, it was equal to pulling 8,000 cars off the road. Pete |

![]() of the so called "Bum Marketing" method and an eBay/craigslist.org twist to it.
I think locating the most traffic sites in any given niche, and letting THEM make the money from your 7 dollar report would beat any PPC or Google ads...and it only costs an email to the site owner. My OPINION is you can't beat email, and if the recommendation comes from someone you know, then all the better. I think a good look at the BACKENDS of the 7 dollar deal is where I'm going to focus on...and do it with both a backstock of little reports and some new material just for this purpose. Just a few emails, and only a couple of people, give this idea tremendous potential, and if you tap into a BIG list, with 1000's of people, and there are those people doing this, that it wouldn't take very long to build a list...and then you "go to the well that gives you water".... ![]() Gordon -
Okay - makes more sense now ... just a matter of building relationships with the folks that are already bringing in traffic. Thanks GJA! KK |

![]() Gordon (or anyone with experience) -
I've seen a lot of positive stuff on "Butterfly Marketing" ...do you have any experience with this and how does it compare to this manual? Thanks to all in advance... KK |
