Why bother to do business ethically? Here's why....

I agree with you, you can't charge to teach someone something that you don't really know yourself!

It is shocking....

The two examples I've seen most often are "copywriters" who ask people how they can sell their services, and "internet marketing experts" asking people how they can make money....!!!!

That's why in anything I write on the forum, you'll mostly see me writing about other people's experiences which I've learned about (I study a lot, and I've been talking to lots of people)....

And I am working on my own product, which will be based on an approach to investing in long-term growth stocks which I've used quite successfully myself for several years.... (This will probably be a software product + manual, based on the approach explained in the book "The Warren Buffett Way" -- especially on the tables in the back which the author, Robert Hagstrom, Jr., doesn't explain in the book.... I had to figure out mathematically what's going on there myself....)

I do talk about some of my own experiences, but I'm still building up my business experience, however I have a wealth of other experience (such as in physics research or in stock market investing) which I can also draw upon....

That's partly why I'm here too, though.... To learn from those more experienced in business than me, like you, Gordon, Ricky, and plenty of others.... That's why I talk to others too....

Just yesterday, I had a GREAT talk with a FX (foreign exchange) futures broker.... This is someone who trades currency futures. He's been doing it for 26 years! He told me some great stories, which I'll share here.... It's HIGH RISK stuff.... I'm not an expert in FX futures, but I learned quite a lot about it by talking to him and attending a seminar about it.... I feel comfortable talking about it on a forum, but I wouldn't charge people for my "expertise" on it at this level!

Anyway, thank you Linda, you made a great point.... It's important not to mislead people into thinking that you're something which you're not....
