A little 16 foot Hobie or Prindle catamaran can be a blast. I had one here in AZ until just a few years ago.

A 16 is small enough that you can rig and sail yourself but big enough to take out a couple other people.

Hard to explain but it can be intense and theraputic at the same time.

Extreme and relaxing all in one.
