Default Selling One Of My Businesses -- Need Help

Aloha Friends,

As some of you know, I decided to get out of the incestuous "teach people to make money" market -- and am now focusing on a different niche.

I am selling off the assets I have... including:

** A website (goldblogger.com) and blog that stretches back to 2002. Good usable, original content.

** A website (MakeMoneyBlogging.com) that sells a $597 physical product at a 1.38% conversion rate.

** Copyright and license to a $597-797 physical product

Does anyone have any experience at this? Is there an auction site for such a thing?

Aloha,

Jason Cain

http://www.sitepoint.com seems to have very good success in this area

Use the "marketplace" link on the site

Thanks for asking Jason.

* First approach your competition and ask them if they want to buy your website and products out.
* Then approach your friends and subscribers.
* Only if that doesn't work out - go to sitepoint.com or ebay.com

Default Why I love SOWPub....

Thanks Phil and Ankesh,

Great links and ideas presented by everyone.

I have been looking over SitePoint and see that I have some prime VRE (virtual real estate) with both MakeMoneyBlogging and Goldblogger.

Goldblogger averages over 30k unique visitors a month. And MakeMoneyBlogging.com gets about 580 unique visitors with over 1% converting to sales. I know that MMBs traffic levels and conversion rate can be improved by someone wanting to devote the time to doing it.

Ankesh, I am going to offer the sites to competitors and subscribers first. I am gathering the facts and constructing a salesletter.

I have also trying to have the sites appraised. There are a couple companies that do that apparently.

Thanks for the help folks!

Aloha,

Jason Cain
