Re: Step by Step. Oooo Baby.
Hey Michael,
Glamor index... I never heard the desire for a pretty job title described so perfectly before. "Fill in the blank... I am a _______________. " I feel lucky in that my job title isn't the first thing I want to fill that sentence in with. I do think that I fill in the word 'entrepreneur' somewhere along the line. That one, that means I'm willing to take risks, try things, experiment, and hopefully profit and support myself does mean something to me. Maybe you're right then. My self labeled term entrepreneur and the freedom/independence it implies in our American society does hold a certain attractiveness to me. Glamor? Maybe just a little. Trying to impress myself. "Does the GI of a business play a part in the attractiveness of it, for you?" Probably to an extent. Yes, why else would anyone want to get involved in a stock market that most people say slaughters everyone? Desire to lose money? Idiocy? Lack of brain cells? Success, Erik P.S. I would agree that everyone does want to BE something. But I would modify it to... Everyone wants to be someone. |
