why to post disclaimers on forums and the jail time you can do if you don't post them
QUOTED from a prior post..
"I am NOT a copyright lawyer. The above is only my opinion. For proper legal advice consult with a qualified legal person." --- HELP! PLEASE! WHY!!! is this type of statement always posted on internet forums when anyone makes a comment relating to anything serious or even remotely related to law related things?? What??? is it ILLEGAL to make a comment about anything whatsoever legally related without including a disclaimer like this????? I really really don't get this and it really kind of makes me sick reading it from so many people all the time when they make what is obviously their own personal comment. Why the hell should I have to post a disclaimer to make a statement about any dam thing I please? Is this not a free country? Can you really go to jail or be sued for making a public comment about the law without posting an "i am not a lawyer" type disclaimer???? If so I think that is a really evil law, I should be able to make any comment I wish in a public forum whether I am right or totally wrong without posting some disclaimer at the end. What is the deal with this? Does anyone know? Thank you. Bolo. |
