From Ace Canoer To Aviation Maestro...

Down our way there is a fellow named Grant Kenny. He first made headlines as a 17 year old man/boy when, in the same year, he won Both the Junior Ironman and the Senior Ironman.

Later, he one a medal at the Olympics for Canoing - where they kneel in the canoe and paddle with one paddle.

There is a woman. Lisa Curry. She once represented Australia in Swimming. And is known for costing Australia a Gold Medal by jumping off the block too soon in a relay.

Both Grant and Lisa married. Grant seemed to disappear into the ether. While Lisa could be seen doing an odd ad here and there.

But all was Not quiet on the Kenny front. Far from it.

You see. He is the largest owner of Fixed Wing aircraft and helicopters in Australia - with a fleet of around 60. Starting with one plane he bought and put to work to help him pay it off. He has now won a $50million contract to Marine Pilot Transfers - flying 120 nautical miles out to see to pick up the pilot and bring him back.
