Default Ever Grateful.....

Hello Taylor and everyone!

Wow. I have read that before, and I think it just reached deeper into my heart with this reading.

Add to that Gordon's post about George Bernard Shaw....talk about humbling!

It reminds me of "Have-to's" When I was working as a Program Manager at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home (one of the common factors Gordon and I share is a background working in Residential Care for the Developmentally Disabled) I had an employee who did not speak a whole lot, but when he DID speak, his words were quite powerful.

Rodney was a strong man, a father of three children and a Veteran. In the military he found the family he had not had growing up. He supported his younger half brothers by attending their sporting events to cheer them on and bolster their spirits.

One day, I was stressing about all the stuff that I "had to" get done. I HAD to do this and I HAD TO do that. Rodney stopped me (he literally had to stop me in my tracks.

"There are only two things you HAVE TO do, Julie." Yes, this interrupted my thoughts completely. A lighter load, I wondered?

Rodney's next words hit home, and COMPLETELY relate to your post, Taylor. Rodney said, "You HAVE to Die, and you HAVE to meet your maker."

Just like in Taylor's post:

>You see, in the final analysis, it is between >you and God.
>It was never between you and them anyway.

Thank you, Taylor for the thoughts today. Life is truly an amazing gift. I am so thankful to everyone at this forum for sharing themselves here.

With Purpose and Passion,

Julie Jordan Scott
