Phraseology
I saw a time warner tv spot that said this...
"I switched to digital phone from time warner." Using the word "from" isn't that great in this case! (they really mean "by" or "provided by") -- but after saying "switched," the "from" could mean something else -- as in "I used to use time warner, but then I switched TO something else, (away) FROM time waner. -- TW Last edited by -TW : February 16, 2010 at 11:56 PM. |
