![]() Any ideas? It seems that all of the fax software requires a dial-up fax modem...
Thanks, Adam. |

![]() Hi Adam,
My computer is hooked to the net by cable modem but it also has a 56K modem I use sometimes to send faxes. I have often programmed my fax software to send faxes while I am doing other things on the web. I don't understand why you can't do this too, unless your computer no longer has a modem. Sending faxes doesn't require a TCP/IP connection. And you computer is capable of multi-tasking. It runs independent of your internet connection. I must be missing something. I don't see the problem. ![]() Ugh!
Who wants to hassle with toggling back and forth between a dial up and the cable modem? I guess if you're a tech. head, it's not a problem. But every time I've tried to switch, I always ended up listening to the music on the tech. support line. Not to mention having to pay the $9 to $20 a month. In any event, the link Gordon gave me worked out well. Since I'm using Road Runner, they have a piece of software called Fax Runner that does what I'm looking for. Haven't installed it yet, but I'll let y'all know how it works. -Adam. |
